Mono

Mono is a Mongolian tattoo artist based in Chicago, tattooing professionally since 2022 after receiving her license in Virginia.

Art has been part of her life from an early age, first learning drawing and painting from her grandfather as a child. Before tattooing, Mono studied architecture and later pursued an MFA focused on oil painting — both of which continue to shape her approach to composition, balance, flow, and fine detail.

Her work focuses on fine line, floral, blackwork, and custom tattoo designs, often blending contemporary tattooing with influences from Mongolian art, ornamentation, symbolism, and traditional linework. Whether delicate and minimal or more illustrative and detailed, her tattoos are designed to feel intentional, balanced, and natural on the body.

Driven by both technical precision and personal storytelling, Mono creates tattoos that are meant to age well while remaining unique to the individual wearing them. She continues to evolve her style through constant study, experimentation, and artistic growth.
